November 27 2007 - Media Release: Foreign & Commonwealth Office Signs Historic
Agreement
An agreement which assists clients of IAS' Sylhet office, Bangladesh, to have their appeals processed
swiftly while enabling documents of concern to entry clearance officers to be verified
In the British High Commission Visa Section in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 27 November Jonathan Verney, Deputy Director of Visa Services, and Keith Best, Chief Executive of IAS, signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding.
The Memorandum of Understanding sets out how the IAS office in Sylhet, Bangladesh, will submit appeals so that they can be processed quickly by the Visa Section.
"This agreement is of great significance and assistance for our clients in Bangladesh" said Keith Best. "We are optimistic that such an agreement can be replicated in other countries for the benefit of refused applicants there."
IAS is now described as "an approved partner of the British High Commission" and may post advertisements in VFS Application Centres. The Memorandum of Understanding enables clients of IAS Sylhet office with appeals to have them lodged and dealt with swiftly in return for IAS verifying documents which are of concern to the entry clearance officer who has refused the original application
