July 3rd 2009 - Points based System for Immigration and Visas
Source - UK Border Agency
The new UK Border Agency Points Based System has introduced immigration policy to address the needs of the UK's labour market and attract highly skilled individuals to help contribute to economic growth and to fill skills gaps that can not be filled from people currently in the UK. Mathew Collins Director of AmblerCollins Visas and Relocation stated, " the new Points Based System has now been introduced and our Clients both Corporate and Personal have had to engage with the new regulations. The recession has seen a decline in the number of Companies bringing people into the UK but that was to be expected under the current economic climate."
At present two of the key UK visa routes for employment related immigration to the UK are the Tier 1 Highly Skilled Visa and the Tier 2 Work Permit visa scheme.
