June 3rd 2009 - Singapore ranked top for world's friendliest Immigration Policies
Source - Ambler Collins
Singapore has been ranked number one in the IMD World Competitiveness Report 2008, for having the world’s friendliest
immigration and talent management policies.
A position which is strongly supported by Mathew Collins, Managing Director of Ambler Collins: "Singapore is Asia's
most competitive economy and amongst the world’s most competitive nations. They have been a natural transit stop-over
hub for many years, due to their location and are now becoming a longer-term global talent destination for
immigrants who want to consider a new life in a stable economic and political environment".
Ambler Collins has seen a significant increase in individuals enquiring about living, working and studying in the
city state of Singapore during the last two months and recognise Singapore as a real alternative destination for
those who previously considered emigrating to Australia and New Zealand. This increase reflects the excellent
packaging and marketing of immigration and economic policies by Contact Singapore and the Singapore Ministry of
Manpower.
Singapore offers a range of work visas such as employer sponsored visas (S Pass) and entrepreneur visas.
